The incomplete image to the right is my current Vector Art for my Australian Parrot Project. It will be an image of a male (left) and female Red Rump Parrot.
The Red Rumped Parrot (Psephotus haematonotus), is known by a number of different names such as the Red-winged Parrot, Blood-winged Parrot, Red-backed Parrot or Crimson-winged Parrot. The Red Rump is an Australian parrot of an averaged-size at around 28cm in length. Their name refers to the strong red plumage which is only found on the male’s rump (not displayed in my image). The female’s is a much less colourful partner with a greyish green body and wings, some black wing feathers and blue-black wing-tips, and lighter green base feathers.

The image to the left is one of my Vector Artworks for my Australian Parrot Project. It is an image of a male (left) and female Eastern Rosella Parrot.
The Eastern Rosella is native to Australia and can be found along the south-eastern of coast of Australia, from Queensland to Tasmania and south-east to South Australia.
SUBSPECIES: There are three subspecies of the Eastern Rosella:
* P.e. eximius (Eastern Rosella),
* P.e. cecilae (Gold-mantled Rosella), and
* P.e. diemenensis (Tasmania Rosella).
HABITAT: The Eastern Rosella is generally found in lightly wooded areas. This little bird has been very successful in adapting too many man made environments such as farms, parks and golf courses. Many of my friends enjoy feeding wild rosies in their backyards. They like to feed early in the morning and dusk. The Eastern Rosella is often seen feeding on the ground and in the trees, and generally in pairs or little groups. Sometimes they will be seen in large flocks, usually at the end of their breeding season.
The image to the right is one of my Vector Artworks for
my Australian Parrot Project. It is an image of a male (left) and female DOUBLE-EYED FIG-PARROT.
Status: Rare
Diet: As their name may suggest, the Double-eyed Fig-parrot enjoys eating the seeds of wild fig trees, as well as other fruits, nectar, seeds and insects.
Size: The Double-eyed Fig-parrot is on average 13-15 cm in length, their tail generally making up 4 to 4.6cm of that length.
Temperament: The fig parrot is startled and will react strongly to the approach of humans, flapping their wings wildly and falling to the cage bottom while squawking loudly. Viewing is best enjoyed at a distance. Fig parrots don’t play with toys
The following images are also Vector Artworks that I created based on various images I found on the net and from photos I have taken.
